Zuma: the Japanese izakaya perched on Palazzo Fendi
A terrace above the fashion district
Located since 2016 in Palazzo Fendi, a stone's throw from Via dei Condotti and its luxury boutiques, Zuma spreads over two levels of the palazzo. The restaurant occupies the fourth floor; above it, the lounge bar opens onto an open-air terrace, furnished with armchairs and small potted trees, from which the eye wanders towards Piazza di Spagna and the church of Trinità dei Monti. Close by, the "Lanterna", a glass structure designed by Doriana and Massimiliano Fuksas, adds a contemporary touch to this landscape of domes and ochre roofs.
Izakaya cuisine and Japanese-inspired cocktails
The concept follows the spirit of izakayas, those Japanese venues where dishes and drinks are shared without formality. In the restaurant, the sushi counter and the robata grill take centre stage. On the terrace, the bar menu focuses on sake, Japanese whiskies and cocktails from €16 to €23, from the yuzu spritz to the house negroni. In the early evening, from 6pm to 7pm, an aperitivo menu called Nomikai offers edamame, maki and crispy squid to share as the sun sets. At weekends, brunch is served at lunchtime.
A party atmosphere
A resident DJ livens up the lounge into the small hours, making Zuma a more festive than contemplative spot after dinner. The venue also hosts private events, from business lunches to cocktail receptions.
