Divinity Terrace: a drink facing the dome of the Pantheon
On the rooftops of the Sant'Eustachio district
The Pantheon Iconic Rome Hotel occupies a building on Via di Santa Chiara, a stone's throw from the Pantheon and Piazza della Minerva. Its top level, on the sixth floor, is entirely given over to Divinity: a terrace lounge bar on one side, and on the other a restaurant with an indoor dining room and a panoramic terrace. The decor combines wooden decking, cream banquettes and potted olive trees.
The Pantheon almost within arm's reach
From the terrace, the dome of the Pantheon rises just above the neighbouring rooftops. A little further away stand out the spiral bell tower of Sant'Ivo alla Sapienza, the domes of the centre and the Vittoriano. The spectacle is especially striking at sunset, and then in the evening when the monuments are lit up.
Cocktails, tapas and reinvented Roman cuisine
The cocktail list is created by bar manager Dario Comis and comes with tapas, a fine selection of wines and a few pizzas. The restaurant, advised by chef Francesco Apreda with Luca Decembrino in the kitchen, reinvents Roman tradition with local produce. On Saturday evenings, a sunset aperitivo with a DJ set livens up the terrace, and food and wine pairing dinners are held in season.
Practical information
The lounge bar is open every day from 11.30am to midnight, without reservations: you take a seat as space allows (groups of more than 8 people on request through the hotel). The restaurant serves dinner every day from 7pm to 10.30pm and, like the terrace, can be booked for lunch and dinner only. The Pantheon is a two-minute walk away; there is no metro station close by, so the easiest option is to walk from Piazza Navona or the Trevi Fountain.
