Oro Bistrot: the Vittoriano opposite, the forums at your feet
A terrace on Piazza Venezia
The NH Collection Roma Fori Imperiali occupies a building on Via di Sant'Eufemia, a stone's throw from Piazza Venezia and Trajan's Forum. On its roof, Oro Bistrot spreads out a terrace with chequerboard tiling, dotted with olive trees in planters and parasols, which brings together a restaurant and an open-air lounge bar.
A panorama over monumental Rome
The view is striking: the Vittoriano and its bronze quadrigas rise directly opposite, Trajan's Column stands very close by, while a neighbouring Baroque dome seems to touch the terrace. Below stretch the remains of the Fori Imperiali. Sunset, when the white marble turns golden, is the most sought-after moment.
The cuisine of Natale Giunta
The menu is signed by Sicilian chef Natale Giunta, who revisits Italian flavours with a touch of his native island. The day unfolds in several stages: a light lunch, an afternoon aperitif with creative bites, a gourmet dinner under the stars, then cocktails prepared by the bar's mixologists. Brunch is served on Sundays, and the venue hosts birthdays and corporate events.
Practical information
Oro Bistrot is open from Sunday to Thursday from 1pm to 11pm, and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Booking, online via the website or by phone, is strongly recommended, especially at sunset. The recommended dress code is smart casual. Colosseo station (Metro line B) is about fifteen minutes' walk away; many buses serve nearby Piazza Venezia.
