Jim's Rooftop Bar: the Roaring Twenties on the rooftops of Rome
At the top of the Singer Palace
The Singer Palace Hotel occupies a palazzo on Via Alessandro Specchi, right in the historic centre, a few minutes' walk from the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain and Piazza Venezia. On the sixth floor, Jim's Rooftop Bar spreads across a wooden terrace furnished with wicker armchairs and director's chairs, extended by a small speakeasy-style indoor lounge with ivy painted on the walls. One floor below, the Le Terrazze restaurant completes the offer.
A panorama over the rooftops of the centre
The view takes in the tiled roofs, the façades of baroque churches, the bell towers and, in the distance, the hills and the domes of the historic centre. Sunset is the highlight, and the terrace readily fills up at aperitivo time.
1920s cocktails
The menu draws on the golden age of 1920s cocktails and offers a selection of reinvented classics, alongside the creations of bar manager Federica Geirola, including the Yumi, which won an award in 2021. Each drink comes with a small savoury bite prepared in the kitchen. The Le Terrazze restaurant serves Italian cuisine with Mediterranean touches, and the hotel hosts private events.
Practical information
The bar is open every day from noon to midnight, to hotel guests and outside visitors alike; Le Terrazze serves lunch from noon to 3pm and dinner from 7pm to 10.45pm. It is best to book a table at sunset, by phone or email. There is no metro station close by: the easiest option is to walk from Via del Corso or the Trevi Fountain.
