Adèle Mixology Lounge: cocktails at the top of the Splendide Royal
A sky bar on the Pincio hill
The Splendide Royal, a luxury hotel on Via di Porta Pinciana, stands between Via Veneto and the gardens of Villa Borghese, a few minutes' walk from Piazza di Spagna. At the very top of the building, on the eighth floor, Adèle Mixology Lounge occupies the roof: an open-air lounge, partly covered, with banquettes, a bar counter and tables lined up along a glass balustrade. A system of retractable glass panels means it can be enjoyed in every season.
A 360-degree view
The panorama circles the city: the pines of Villa Borghese in the foreground, Villa Medici and Trinità dei Monti close by, then the domes of the centre, the Vittoriano, the Gianicolo hill and the dome of St Peter's. It is at sunset, when the sky blazes behind the basilica, that the place reveals all its charm.
Mixology and light bites
The cocktail list, created by the mixology team led by Giovanni Faedda, comes with a selection of premium spirits and small plates to share. On Sundays, brunch is served from noon to 3pm. For the curious, the Adèle Full Experience pairs three cocktails with three dishes and lets you learn to make your own drink. The venue can also be hired for events.
Practical information
The lounge is open every day: in summer from 5pm to 12.30am (1am on Fridays and Saturdays), in winter from 4.30pm to midnight (12.30am on Fridays and Saturdays). Elegant attire is requested: long trousers and a shirt for men, no flip-flops. Booking recommended online or on +39 06 42168888.
