The Vienna House by Wyndham Andel's Berlin hotel stands on Landsberger Allee, where Lichtenberg meets Friedrichshain and Prenzlauer Berg. Loft14 has made its home on the 14th floor, in the building's highest room, 65 metres above the ground. The picture windows offer a panorama of the east of the city, and the TV Tower on Alexanderplatz, about three kilometres away as the crow flies, stands out straight ahead.
The decor goes for retro chic: a 14-metre bar counter in dark oak and marble, flamingo-pink stools, velvet armchairs and sofas, and a lounge corner in front of a large jungle wallpaper. There is no terrace: everything happens behind the glass, which means you can enjoy the view in any season.
A menu of house cocktails
The 2026 menu lists a dozen house creations at €15, one at €18, classics such as the old fashioned or the pisco sour at the same price, long drinks from €10 to €12 and alcohol-free cocktails at €12. There is also a selection of gins, whiskies and rums by the glass. DJs and artists perform regularly, and the bar can be hired for an event or a film shoot.
Two floors below, the hotel is home to a fine-dining restaurant, Skykitchen, handy for following dinner with a nightcap.
Practical information
Open Monday to Thursday from 6pm to midnight, Friday and Saturday from 6pm to 1am. No booking needed: it works on a first-come, first-served basis; groups of 8 or more book with the bar team, and no bookings are taken on event nights. S-Bahn Landsberger Allee (Ringbahn S41 and S42, lines S8 and S85), about 200 metres away.
