Bellini: the Cipriani table atop the Mr. C
A restaurant at the top of a yacht-inspired hotel
Created by the Cipriani family, the Mr. C Miami Coconut Grove hotel rises above the Coconut Grove marina, with architecture that evokes a boat. Its top floor is home to Bellini: a bright dining room with large picture windows, blue-and-white striped banquettes, sky-blue armchairs and chandeliers, opening onto a terrace with about forty seats. Above the trees of Coconut Grove, the view takes in Biscayne Bay, the marina and its sailboats; at sunset, it's quite a show.
Italian classics and the house Bellini
The menu mixes Cipriani house recipes with more contemporary dishes: beef carpaccio, vitello tonnato, lobster tagliolini, bucatini cacio e pepe, lasagna Bolognese, then grilled dishes and fish such as Chilean sea bass or branzino. At dinner, antipasti run about $26 to $38, pastas $29 to $42 and mains $40 to $65; a 20% service charge is added to the bill.
The bar pours Italian wines, spirits and cocktails, starting with the Bellini, the family's signature cocktail, born at Harry's Bar in Venice, and the Mr. C, made with mandarin. The restaurant is open from breakfast through dinner, and brunch is on the menu too. Spaces can be reserved for groups.
