A terrace above the treetops
Coconut Grove, Miami's oldest neighborhood, is known for its shady streets and its marinas. Level 6 sits atop a building on Main Highway, across from The Barnacle Historic State Park, above the Lebanese restaurant Amal, which is run by the same group. The decor keeps things soft: light wood, pale blues and greens, colorful ceramics, tropical plants and woven-fiber lamps. The glass railings let the view sweep across the neighborhood's foliage out to Biscayne Bay and its sailboats, with the towers of Brickell in the distance. A movable roof covers part of the terrace.
Spanish food made for sharing
The menu takes on Spain in small plates: pan con tomate, Ibérico bellota ham, croquetas, gambas al ajillo, octopus, then paellas (seafood, chicken or truffle, which take about 45 minutes to prepare) and grilled dishes like ribeye or whole sea bass. At the bar, the cocktails are fruity and colorful: reposado tequila, passion fruit and jalapeño in the Beso de Fuego; vodka, St-Germain and lavender in the Purple Sky; or a cognac sangria. The wine list puts bubbles front and center.
Sunset Hour, Monday through Friday from 5pm to 7pm and on Sunday evenings, offers discounted tapas, cocktails and wines by the glass. On weekends, brunch is served from 11am to 4pm, with a DJ. The venue can be booked for corporate dinners or parties, for up to 200 guests standing.

Open Monday through Wednesday from 5pm to midnight, Thursday until 1:30am, Friday until 2am, Saturday from 11am to 2am and Sunday from 11am to midnight. Online reservations are recommended, especially around sunset. Valet parking Thursday through Sunday, plus public parking nearby. The Coconut Grove Metrorail station is about 1.5 km away.
