A lounge perched on the 22nd floor
On SW 8th Street, in the Brickell neighborhood, a single tower is home to two Marriott hotels, the AC Hotel and the Element. Its top level houses Rosa Sky, a partly covered lounge that opens onto a balcony terrace lined with banquettes and cushions. The decor plays with pink and purple, even more so after dark, when the lighting takes over. As for the view, the skyscrapers of Brickell, the Miami River and the lights of Downtown set the scene.
House cocktails and tapas for sharing
The signature drink, the Rosa Sky, combines strawberry vodka, citrus and strawberry and comes with a rose-shaped ice cube; the other creations run about $17 to $20, with three alcohol-free cocktails at $14. For snacking, the menu lines up shareable plates with Latin and international inspiration: buffalo chicken empanadas, crispy Cuban “cigars,” flank steak tacos, pork bao or a charcuterie and cheese board. Happy hour, Tuesday through Saturday from 4:30pm to 7pm and Sunday from 2pm to 6pm, brings a selection of cocktails down to $10. Wednesday night is Ladies Night, and the venue can be booked for private groups of 20 or more.
