Giselle: dinner and a show on a Downtown rooftop
A theatrical setting above E11EVEN
In the Park West neighborhood, just north of Downtown, Giselle occupies the roof of the famous E11EVEN club, but with its own entrance and its own elevator. The decor doesn't hold back: Italian marble, mirrored tiles, a big central bar crowned with greenery, banquettes and neon. The retractable roof covers the entire space, so you can dine in the open air when the weather is nice and stay dry when a shower rolls through, with the Downtown skyline as a backdrop. A private room, the Dream Room, hosts intimate dinners.
Fusion cuisine and over-the-top cocktails
The menu blends French techniques, Asian flavors and Mediterranean accents: Chilean sea bass gyoza, Sichuan calamari, short rib skewers, Japanese A5 wagyu, seafood platters or caviar. Cocktails, mostly $18 to $24, are all about showmanship, right down to a glass shaped like a high heel. A tasting menu comes in three versions, from $95 to $225 per person. Happy hour, Wednesday through Sunday from 6pm to 8pm and again from midnight to close, is served at the bar. The venue regularly hosts themed nights.
