BLICK Bar: a drink at the heart of the Elbphilharmonie
The bar of the concert hall's hotel
Set on top of a former brick warehouse at the tip of HafenCity, the Elbphilharmonie is also home to a hotel, the Westin Hamburg. On the 8th floor, at the level where the brick base gives way to the glass facade, the BLICK Bar welcomes hotel guests, Hamburg locals and concertgoers alike. The decor combines gilded brass, marble tables, turquoise velvet armchairs and carpet in the colours of water.
The Elbe on one side, the old town on the other
The large windows look out over the river and its boats, the port and HafenCity; on the city side, the spires of St Nicholas' and City Hall stand out above the rooftops. The end of the day, when the sun sinks over the Elbe, is particularly popular.
Musical cocktails and house-made pastries
The menu plays on the theme of music: four signature cocktails at €19, a selection of reinvented classics at €17, champagne cocktails at €26, spritzes at €15 and mocktails at €13. The hotel's three pastry chefs create cakes, petits fours and pralines, renewed every six months, to enjoy with a glass of champagne. A few snacks round out the offer.

The BLICK Bar is open Monday to Thursday from 4pm to midnight, Friday and Saturday from noon to 1am, and Sunday from noon to midnight; a coffee bar takes over during the day, from 10am to 4pm.
