Käfer Dachgarten-Restaurant: dinner on the roof of the Reichstag
A restaurant at the heart of Parliament
The Reichstag, seat of the Bundestag, draws visitors with its glass dome and panoramic terrace. Munich caterer Käfer runs a restaurant open to the public here, at roof level: a glass pavilion extended by a terrace, a few steps from the dome. The view stretches over the Spree, the Brandenburg Gate, the Chancellery and the city's rooftops all the way to the TV Tower.
From breakfast to fine dining
The modern German cooking follows the seasons, with regional produce and a kitchen open to the dining room. In the morning, there are several breakfast options; at lunchtime, two menus, one vegetarian, the other with meat or fish, whose dishes you choose freely, such as a veal Wiener schnitzel; in the afternoon, an aperitif served on a sweet or savoury tiered stand with a glass of sparkling wine. In the evening, two four-course gourmet menus are offered at €94, with each additional course costing €12.
After dinner, restaurant guests can stroll on the illuminated terrace and inside the dome until midnight. The restaurant can also be hired for events.
