Atmosphere Rooftop Bar: the Ritz-Carlton's summer garden

On the Ring, facing the landmarks

The Ritz-Carlton Vienna occupies former palaces on the Schubertring, between the Stadtpark and Schwarzenbergplatz. On its roof, on the 8th floor, Atmosphere Rooftop Bar opens an open-air terrace every spring. The view takes in the rooftops of the 1st district, the spire of St. Stephen's Cathedral, the green dome of St. Charles's Church (Karlskirche) and, in the distance, the hills on the edge of the city.

The décor plays the garden card: flowerbeds, plants, a bar clad in veined marble, round tables and woven armchairs. The spot is especially popular at sunset, when the stone of the Ring's palaces takes on a pink glow.

Champagne and cocktails

The bar puts Perrier-Jouët champagne in the spotlight, served in the setting of its “Summer Garden”, alongside carefully crafted cocktails, Austrian and international wines and a short menu of refined snacks. At weekends, the bar opens earlier and you can have lunch on the terrace.

A seasonal terrace

Atmosphere is an open-air bar: it opens in April, closes at the end of the season in October, and only opens in fine weather. Opening hours change from month to month, with later opening in high summer. Out of season, the hotel welcomes visitors at its other venues, such as the D-bar.

Open from April to October, in fine weather, in the afternoon and evening (from noon at weekends in spring and autumn, until 1am in summer); check current opening hours before you go.
