Lamée Rooftop: St. Stephen's Cathedral within arm's reach

A rooftop above Rotenturmstraße

Hotel Lamée stands a few steps from Stephansplatz, between Rotenturmstraße and Lichtensteg, where the entrance to the bar is. On the 9th floor, the terrace runs along the roof and looks straight at the cathedral's Gothic spire and its glazed-tile roof. The rest of the panorama takes in the rooftops of the old town, the church towers and, further away, the hills surrounding Vienna.

After a complete renovation, the bar reopened in September 2024 under new management. A modern tensile roof now shelters the terrace: you can enjoy the open sky in summer and stay sheltered when it turns chilly. In winter, heaters, furs, blankets and hot cocktails take over. Lamée Rooftop was named rooftop bar of the year by the Falstaff Barguide 2025.

A carefully crafted cocktail list

The menu is the work of head bartender Giorgos Papanidis: signature cocktails with playful names, such as the Callboy with Monkey 47 gin and bergamot or the Pool Boy with hibiscus-infused mezcal, cocktails of the month, spritzes, wines, champagne and mocktails. For nibbles, there are a few sharing boards, sandwiches and sweet treats, with a coffee-and-pastry offer at weekends.

Open daily, Sunday to Wednesday from noon to 1am, Thursday to Saturday from noon to 2am. Expect to pay €15.50 for a cocktail of the month and €18.50 for a signature cocktail.
