VooDoo Lounge: the Strip head-on from the Rio's 51st floor
The return of a historic rooftop
At the top of the Masquerade Tower at the Rio Hotel & Casino, on Flamingo Road, VooDoo Lounge was long one of the must-visit spots of Las Vegas nightlife. Closed for several years, it reopened on January 17, 2025, as part of the renovation of the hotel, which is now affiliated with the Destination by Hyatt brand. Its location, west of the Strip, on the other side of I-15, gives it a rare head-on view of the boulevard: the Bellagio, the High Roller observation wheel and the towers of the center Strip line up in front of the terrace.
Spellbinding cocktails and shareable bowls
The menu leans into the venue's voodoo theme. The $17 cocktails go by names like Devil's Margarita (tequila, Ancho Reyes chile and a pinot noir float), Botanist's Spell, Cursed Cachaça or Espresso Enchantment. For groups, three $45 shareable bowls, including the rum-based Juju Jungle Punch, revive a house tradition. Beers from $9 to $11, wines by the glass and bottle service round out the offering. DJs keep the vibe going.
One floor above the restaurant
Just below, on the 50th floor, the High Steaks Vegas restaurant has replaced the former VooDoo Steak: you can have dinner facing the same view before heading up for a drink.
