A dining room that circles the valley
Set on the 106th floor of The STRAT tower, two levels below the observation deck, Top of the World is a panoramic restaurant whose floor slowly rotates, completing a full turn in 80 minutes: over the course of dinner, the Strip and its casinos, Downtown, residential neighborhoods and the ridges surrounding the valley all roll by. The outward-tilted windows look straight down to the boulevard more than 800 feet below.
Steaks, seafood and a great wine cellar
The kitchen is that of an upscale steakhouse, with meats and seafood served with seasonal vegetables. The wine list has earned the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for 27 consecutive years. At the bar, cocktails run $19 to $23, like the $21 Elevated Margarita. Each guest is required to order an entrée or spend a minimum of $55.
For special occasions
Honored in the 2019 Best of Las Vegas awards for best fine dining, best view and most romantic spot, the restaurant lends itself to intimate dinners for two as well as big celebrations. When booking, you can guarantee a window table on the rotating floor for an extra fee; mezzanine tables, at no extra charge, are not on the rotating floor. The 107 Lounge, one floor up, hosts up to 50 people for private events.
Practical information
Dinner Monday through Wednesday from 4pm to 10pm, and Thursday through Sunday from 4pm to 11pm. Reservations online or at +1 702 380 7711. Dressy attire required: no beachwear or athletic wear, caps, tank tops or flip-flops. The STRAT is at 2000 South Las Vegas Boulevard, on the north end of the Strip; access is via the tower elevators.
