A lounge paying tribute to pioneer-era Las Vegas

Circa, the tallest of the Fremont Street hotels, has put a bar at the very top of its tower that pays tribute to the city's founders. At the entrance, metal busts and black-and-white photographs set the tone; farther in, a display case holds 1,000 ounces of gold divided into 500 numbered bars, with a screen showing their value in real time. On the ground floor, at the Legacy Club entrance, the Crazy Girls statue, unveiled in 1997 at the former Riviera, once again greets visitors.

Plush lounges and a fire pit terrace

Inside, velvet banquettes, private lounges and large picture windows; outside, a glass-walled terrace furnished with sofas and fire pits. The panorama sweeps all the way around: the neon of Downtown at your feet, the silhouette of The STRAT, the line of Strip casinos a few kilometers away and the desert ridges. Sunset draws a crowd, and “Sunset Package” deals reserve a table with cocktails, a charcuterie board and a glass of champagne.

Reimagined cocktails and DJ nights

The menu puts a new twist on the classics, with a build-your-own Old Fashioned and cocktails for sharing, and offers a “High Limit” selection made with exceptional spirits. DJs spin most nights from Thursday through Sunday, and the venue hosts themed events (Halloween, New Year's Eve) as well as private buyouts for up to 400 standing guests.

Practical information

Open Sunday through Thursday from 4pm to 2am, Friday and Saturday from 4pm to 3am. Table reservations online, recommended at sunset. Upscale evening attire required: no athletic wear, loungewear or swimwear. Enter through the Legacy Club entrance, on the ground floor of Circa, at the end of the Fremont Street Experience.
