Belga: Belgium on the 32nd floor

A brasserie and a terrace at the top of the Sofitel

The Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit, on Sukhumvit Road between Sois 13 and 15, devotes its 32nd floor to Belga Rooftop Bar & Brasserie. The dining room borrows the codes of the European brasserie: dark wood, burgundy leather, marble tables, copper lamps and murals dedicated to beer and Belgian popular culture. An open kitchen livens up the indoor space.

Outside, a panoramic terrace with around a hundred seats opens onto the Bangkok skyline; this is the place to settle in for a sunset aperitif.

Moules-frites, Belgian beers and cocktails

The menu pays tribute to Belgian classics: moules-frites in traditional or reimagined versions, grey shrimp croquettes, Liège salad, waterzooi, Flemish carbonnade, Liège-style meatballs and waffles. As for drinks, a long selection of Belgian beers sits alongside wines, champagnes and signature cocktails, at around 490 baht excluding tax and service. The venue also hosts private and corporate events for up to nearly 200 people, with a private room seating twelve.

Practical information

Belga is open every evening from 5pm to 1am. Bookings can be made online or through the hotel. Casual dress, but sleeveless tops and flip-flops are not allowed. The hotel is connected by a skywalk to Asok BTS station and Sukhumvit MRT station, making it one of the easiest rooftops in the city to reach. In the rainy season, from May to October, the indoor room takes over from the terrace.
