Sato San: Isan and Japan above Ratchaprasong

A lively rooftop opposite CentralWorld

Launched on New Year's Eve 2025, Sato San occupies the roof of the Moxy Bangkok Ratchaprasong, on Ratchadamri Road, right opposite the CentralWorld shopping mall. The bar is arranged around a large bamboo arch, fairly understated by day, which lights up red after dark; rope-wrapped posts and woven pendant lights complete the decor.

From the 32nd floor, the view sweeps across all of Ratchaprasong: office towers, big hotels and, further away, the outline of Baiyoke Tower. The DJ booth faces the Ratchaprasong intersection, while the quieter Sukhumvit side also serves as a smoking area.

Thai-Japanese cocktails and food to share

The concept brings together two rice cultures: the bold, spicy cooking of north-eastern Thailand and Japanese discipline. The menu lines up bites to nibble, grilled skewers, raw dishes such as a larb-style tuna tartare and a few more substantial plates. As for drinks, signature cocktails are around 500 baht before tax and service, the Thai and Japanese creations around 450 baht, and sato, the Thai rice alcohol, can also be drunk neat.

Every evening from 6pm to 8pm, the “Golden Hour” offers spritzes, wines and bites at friendly prices. From Wednesday to Saturday, DJs take over and the atmosphere heats up quickly after 8pm. The rooftop also hosts private parties and corporate events.

Practical information

Open daily from 6pm to 2am, last orders at 1:30am. Over-20s only, bring ID. Booking online, by phone on +66 2 209 5999 or via LINE is recommended for tables with a sunset view. Smart casual dress. BTS Chit Lom station is a few minutes' walk away. From May to October, as it's the rainy season, it's best to check the weather before heading up.
