Luna de Valencia Rooftop: facing the Torres de Serranos

A terrace at the foot of the ramparts

The Puerta Serranos hotel, part of the MYR Hotels group, stands on calle Blanqueries, on the edge of the El Carmen district, directly opposite the Torres de Serranos, the great Gothic gate in Valencia's old city walls. Its roof, on the 5th floor, is home to the Luna de Valencia Rooftop, not to be confused with Las Tenerías, the hotel's ground-floor restaurant.

The view is the main draw: the battlements and arches of the towers rise almost to terrace level, and beyond them stretches the green ribbon of the Turia Gardens, the river's former bed. Rounded armchairs, parasols and plants create a Mediterranean setting, ideal for a drink in the sun or at sunset.

Cocktails and bites

The menu combines signature cocktails, classics, vermouths, a selection of spirits and a wine list. To go with them: olives, almonds, gilda, garrofó hummus with rosquilletas, Russian salad with tuna, or a board of Iberian ham and cheese, from €2.50 to €17.

Practical information

The terrace is open Sunday to Thursday from noon to midnight, and on Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 1am. Entry is free and open to non-residents, with a minimum first order of €10 per person. As the terrace is fairly small, it is best to call the hotel for groups. The Pont de Fusta tram stop (line 4) is about 450 metres away, on the other side of the Turia Gardens; the Cathedral is around ten minutes' walk away.
