Palacio Vallier Rooftop: the Cathedral above the rooftops
The roof of an old-town palace
The Palacio Vallier, flagship of the Valencian group MYR Hotels, occupies a historic palace on Plaça de Manises, a stone's throw from the Palau de la Generalitat and Plaza de la Virgen. Its roof has been turned into a terrace: the hotel also presents it as the Lladró Lounge Bar Rooftop, as it extends the ground-floor museum bar, decorated with porcelain from the famous Valencian manufacturer Lladró.
Among planters, sculptures and low armchairs, the view takes in Plaza de la Virgen, its domes, the bell tower and domes of the Cathedral, as well as the façade of the neighbouring palace. At the end of the day, the pale stone of the old town takes on golden hues.
Cocktails and an all-day menu
The cocktail menu focuses on the classics: Agua de Valencia, Hugo Spritz, Aperol Spritz or Dark & Stormy at €13, Paloma and Moscow Mule at €14, plus two alcohol-free creations. To eat, choose from ham croquettes, oysters, Iberian ham, salad, pinsa, sandwiches, a burger or fish of the day, making it possible to have a simple lunch or dinner here.
