La Terraza Molina Lario: between the Cathedral and the port

On calle Molina Lario, the Catalonia Molina Lario combines a restored 19th-century building with a recent one, a stone's throw from the Cathedral and calle Larios. On the 8th floor, its rooftop – long known as The Top, now simply called La Terraza – brings together a pool, a sun deck and a bar.
On one side, the tower and façade of the Cathedral seem very close; on the other, the eye sweeps towards the port, Muelle Uno, La Farola lighthouse and the sea. At the end of the day, when golden light strikes the Cathedral's stone, the sofas and high tables are in great demand.
Signature cocktails and live music
The bar showcases its signature cocktails, served to the sound of live concerts and a selection of local music, in a setting of orange sofas, high tables and light wood. A covered area, with its own bar counter, extends the terrace. The rooftop can be booked for events, cocktail parties or receptions, with the Cathedral as a backdrop.
Practical information
The hotel advertises a terrace open all year round but does not publish opening hours, and those reported by guidebooks have varied in recent years: it is best to call before coming. The pool is reserved for hotel guests during the day; outside visitors are welcome at the bar from the afternoon. Seating is limited and the wait can be long in the evening and at weekends. Metro lines 1 and 2: Atarazanas station, about 400 metres away.
