A new meeting place on the 7th floor

In summer 2026, the Only YOU Hotel Málaga, a five-star hotel on the corner of the Alameda Principal and calle Larios, replaced its Lola restaurant with Sonora Sky & Bites. The venue occupies the 7th floor, just below Lolita Skyview, the pool bar on the top level: an indoor room and a terrace sheltered by glass walls and a pergola.

From the high tables, the eye travels to the Cathedral tower, the rooftops of the centre, the Alcazaba and Gibralfaro hill; on the other side, the port and the lighthouse appear behind the palm trees. The concept is designed for late afternoons that stretch on into the night, as much for the city as for hotel guests.

Rock cocktails and small plates

Each cocktail bears the name of an artist: the David Bowie with sake and yuzu, the Blondie with gin and prickly pear, the Pink Floyd with mezcal. They cost from €13.50 to €15, the classics €14.50 and the alcohol-free versions from €12.50. The food, Mediterranean with touches from elsewhere, is made for sharing: oysters, tuna tartare, Iberian ham croquettes, Andalusian-style squid, katsu sando and sushi. On Thursdays, a sushi counter is set up; on Fridays, a DJ accompanies the food, and other evenings mix vinyl, R&B, jazz or acoustic music.

Practical information

The bar is open on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from 5pm to 1am, and on Fridays and Saturdays from 5pm to 1.30am; the kitchen serves from Wednesday to Sunday from 6pm to midnight. A few tables can be booked for dinner; the others are allocated without reservation, subject to available space. Allow around €30 per person. Pets are not allowed. Metro lines 1 and 2: Atarazanas station, about 250 metres away.
