A roof between the centre and the sea
The Room Mate Collection Valeria occupies a corner building between plaza del Poeta Alfonso Canales and plaza de la Marina, on the edge of the historic centre and the Soho district, a short walk from the Palmeral de las Sorpresas and Muelle Uno. Its roof terrace, La Terraza de Valeria, welcomes hotel guests and passing visitors alike.
From the turquoise banquettes and high tables, the view passes over the palm trees of the Paseo del Parque and out towards the port, the cruise ships at the quayside, La Farola lighthouse and the sea. On the other side, the city and the castle hill complete the panorama.
Cocktails facing the port
The bar serves cocktails, wines, beers and cold drinks, from an afternoon coffee to the last drink of the evening. The terrace also has a small pool, Balinese beds and sun loungers, reserved for hotel guests during swimming hours. Seats go quickly at sunset.
Practical information
The terrace and its bar are open from Sunday to Thursday from 11am to midnight, and on Fridays and Saturdays from 11am to 2am. The hotel's website also mentions seasonal hours, from 11am to 6pm from October to April and from 11am to 8pm from May to September: out of season, it is best to check before coming in the evening. Hours may change due to private events, maintenance or bad weather, and under-18s are not admitted after 10pm. Metro lines 1 and 2: Atarazanas station, about 250 metres away.
