Above Place Jourdan
Place Jourdan, in Etterbeek, is one of the liveliest squares in the European Quarter, known in particular for its famous chip shop. The Sofitel Brussels Europe, which lines the square, houses The 1040 brasserie on the ground floor and, on the 7th floor, its rooftop: The Roof. Under a pergola and around an outdoor bar, white tables and chairs face a panoramic view over the square and the surrounding rooftops. The space remains intimate, with a selection of tables and room for 70 guests.
Belgian cocktails and sharing boards
The house signature cocktails pay tribute to Belgium's regions: a genever negroni aged in the cask, a paloma with Wépion strawberries, a cocktail made with Trappist beer and raspberry, or a vodka infused with samphire. Alcohol-free versions are also available, including one made with cuberdon. To go with your drink, tapas boards are made for sharing with friends or colleagues.
After-work drinks and DJ sets
Just steps from the European institutions, the venue lends itself well to after-work drinks. Every weekend, DJ sets create a summery lounge atmosphere, ideal for watching the sun go down. The space can be booked for private events on request.
