The rooftop of Jaz in the City
Between Mariahilfer Straße and the Naschmarkt, the Jaz in the City Vienna hotel has made music its common thread, from the lobby to the rooms. So it needed a bar to match: on the 7th floor, Mariatrink plays with angular lines and bold volumes, with an indoor lounge featuring walls of illuminated bottles, a golden counter and a ceiling scattered with tiny lights, extended by a glazed terrace filled with palm trees and high tables.
From here, the view takes in the whole horizon: the rooftops of Mariahilf and Neubau, the neighbouring glass dome, the church towers of the centre, modern towers in the distance and the hills of the Vienna Woods.
A spot for long evenings
Mariatrink sees itself as a temple of cocktail culture and Viennese nightlife. The menu lists signature creations, plenty of classics, wines, beers and spirits, with a few hearty dishes to go with the drinks. DJs and jazzy music set the pace of the evenings, in a relaxed, no-frills atmosphere that's ideal for drinks with friends.
