Ocean Prime: a steakhouse and terrace above the Strip

A terrace in the heart of the Strip

Ocean Prime occupies the top level of 63 CityCenter, a retail building at the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Harmon Avenue. The brand, which has some twenty locations across the United States, gave its Las Vegas outpost a rooftop terrace of about 2,500 square feet (some 230 m²), planted with olive trees and shaded by umbrellas. This isn't the top of a tower: the view is up close, surrounded by the facades of the Cosmopolitan, Aria and Planet Hollywood, with the bustle of the boulevard just below and its glowing screens after dark.

Steaks, seafood and cocktails

Inside, there are more than 400 seats, three bars and three private dining rooms. The menu pairs prime steaks with fish and seafood, alongside a Wine Spectator award-winning wine list. House cocktails run $19 to $27, like the Berries & Bubbles, served in a cloud of dry-ice smoke, or the $23 Prime Manhattan.

On weekdays, from 3pm to 6pm, the lounge offers half off its bites menu, signature cocktails and a selection of wines by the glass. At lunch, a three-course “Prime Lunch” menu is listed at $45. On weekends, brunch is served on the terrace with a DJ.

Practical information

Lunch Monday through Friday from 11:30am to 4pm; brunch Saturday and Sunday from noon to 3pm; dinner nightly from 4pm (3pm on weekends), until 10pm, or 11pm on Friday and Saturday. Reservations online or by phone. The entrance is on the Harmon Avenue side; on foot, you can reach the elevator from the pedestrian bridge connecting Aria and the Cosmopolitan. Smart attire: men's tank tops, swimwear and caps are not allowed in the dining room.
