Above the avenue of the sultans
Divanyolu is the main thoroughfare of the old city, served by the T1 tram, running towards Hagia Sophia and Topkapı Palace, in the Fatih district. The Pierre Loti Hotel stands on this avenue, and its roof houses the Loti Roof Lounge. The picture windows open onto the domes and minarets of the historic peninsula; according to the venue, the panorama stretches from Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque to the Bosphorus and the Sea of Marmara. In the evening you can make out the illuminated mosques and the Beyazıt Tower lit up in blue.
Open in every season
The retractable roof opens in fine weather and closes when it is cold or raining, so you can dine up here all year round. The menu combines Turkish classics and international dishes, with cocktails, wines and spirits. The room can hold up to 90 people, and families with children are welcome. For New Year's Eve, the venue hosts a gala dinner.
Budget
Allow around 2,000 to 3,000 TL per person for a starter, main course and dessert; dishes range from 325 to 4,900 TL. Classic cocktails cost 700 TL, spritzes 750 TL and house creations 800 TL.
