Sky Beach: Bangkok in 360 degrees from the 78th floor
King Power Mahanakhon's sky-high bar
The King Power Mahanakhon tower, with its unmistakable pixelated silhouette, dominates the Silom district. The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon hotel occupies part of the building and has set up Sky Beach on the roof, on the 78th floor, on the same level as the Mahanakhon SkyWalk observation deck and its famous glass floor.
The venue presents itself as an open-air playground: a yellow bar with retro lines, low armchairs and, all around, a 360-degree view over the whole city. Sunset and the night-time lights are spectacular from up here.
Cocktails, snacks and DJs
The cocktail list focuses on creations with a Thai twist, such as the Mittraphap with local rum or the Ka-Tok-Lok passion fruit margarita, at around 520 to 540 baht, tax and service included. On the food side, American-style snacks go with the drinks. DJs take over in the evening, and the terrace serves as a vantage point for the New Year fireworks.
