On Silom Road, one of Bangkok's main business thoroughfares, the Pullman Bangkok Hotel G is home on its 37th floor to Scarlett Wine Bar & Restaurant. The hushed, plant-filled dining room extends onto an open-air terrace of about 120 square metres, with stools lined up along the glass railing.
From there, the view takes in the Bangkok skyline all the way to the horizon; at sunset, the terrace is bathed in orange. The venue is listed in the Michelin Guide selection for Bangkok.
French dining and a wine bar
The menu puts the produce first: tapas-style small plates, charcuterie and cheese boards, oysters, meats and, more recently, a selection of grilled fish and seafood. The wine list is extensive, and creative cocktails round out the offering. Regular events punctuate the week, such as cut-price oysters on Tuesdays and meat nights on Wednesdays, and happy hour runs daily until 7pm. The venue also hosts private events.
