Yào Rooftop Bar: the world's Chinatowns above Surawong
A rooftop between Silom and the river
The Bangkok Marriott Hotel The Surawongse stands on Surawong Road, in the Bang Rak district, halfway between Silom and the Chao Phraya. Its top floor is home to Yào Rooftop Bar & Lounge, a terrace with graphic tiling, dotted with lounge areas, lanterns and Chinese-inspired details.
The view stretches over the rooftops of Bang Rak and the river, with the tall towers of the riverbank and Silom on the horizon. People come up for the sunset, then stay for the city lights, with music in the background.
Globetrotting cocktails and bites to share
The 2026 menu pays tribute to Chinatowns around the world: a Binondo margarita with mango and coconut, a San Francisco sour with mandarin, a Los Angeles mule with lychee, and a Hikari Blossom with jasmine tea. Signature cocktails cost from 428 to 498 baht. On the food side, Asian sharing dishes, dim sum and bar bites accompany the drinks. The rooftop can be privatised for dinners and parties.
