A terrace at the top of a boutique hotel
The Vincci Selección Unuk, a five-star gran lujo hotel on calle Ortiz de Zúñiga, is very close to Plaza de la Encarnación and Las Setas. Its restaurant, Recoveco, is also open to non-residents and is split between a ground-floor dining room and a terrace set up on the roof, on the 4th floor, around the bar.
Up there, wooden decking, tables with white tablecloths and large pendant lamps frame an open view over the white rooftops of the old town. The Giralda and the Cathedral stand out on the horizon, and the view also extends towards the Alcázar and Plaza de España. The spot is as well suited to an end-of-day aperitif as to dinner under the stars.
Andalusian cuisine and creative cocktails
In the kitchen, Recoveco reinterprets the flavours of the south using seasonal produce, with almadraba bluefin tuna in the spotlight and more than a hundred wines, some of them served by the glass. Several menus are offered, from the €35 tapas menu to the €79 tasting menu, as well as a brunch from €29. The terrace bar serves tapas and classic and creative cocktails, mostly priced from €12 to €14.
Practical information
Breakfast and brunch from 9am to 12.30pm, restaurant from 1.30pm to 10.45pm every day; the terrace stays open until 1am. Booking by phone or online is recommended. The terrace is in the open air: in very hot weather, late afternoon and evening are the most pleasant times. The Metropol Parasol is a few minutes' walk away.
