La Terraza de San Telmo: a bohemian roof in the heart of the centre
A hidden terrace near the Thyssen Museum
Calle San Telmo is a small street in the historic centre, next to the Carmen Thyssen Museum. At number 14, on the fourth and top floor of a building belonging to Apartamentos Málaga Premium, the former Oasis terrace has taken the name La Terraza de San Telmo. It is a coctelería open to the public: there is no need to stay on site to go up.
The setting is more intimate than a big hotel rooftop. Wooden flooring, a bar under a pergola, white banquettes, patterned cushions and shade sails create an ethnic-inspired atmosphere. The view stays on the scale of the neighbourhood: tiled rooftops and the domes of the neighbouring churches, including that of Los Mártires, under the sunset sky.
Cocktails at low prices
The cocktail list remains very affordable: negroni, mai tai or gin with mandarin at around €9.50, spritzes at €9, a few creations at €10 and a cocktail of the month, different every month. Wines, beers, coffees and gin and tonics round out the offering. The terrace, which can hold 110 people, can also be booked for parties and private outdoor events.
