La Terraza de San Juan: a drink at the foot of the bell tower
A roof in the heart of the historic centre
Calle San Juan is in the historic centre, very close to calle Larios. At number 11, the Málaga Premium Hotel, a boutique hotel, has set up a bar open to the public on its roof: there is no need to be a hotel guest to go up to the fifth floor.
The most striking view is right next door: the bell tower of the church of San Juan rises a few metres from the tables and is lit up in the evening. Further away, you can see the Cathedral tower, nicknamed la Manquita, and the Montes de Málaga closing off the horizon. The decor plays the lounge card, with wooden decking, wicker sofas, cushions with plant motifs and a VIP area for small groups.
Cocktails and a short menu
The bartenders have put together a menu of creations priced between €8 and €12, most of them at €9.80, alongside classics at €9.50 and spritzes at €9. You can also have a coffee, a beer or a gin and tonic. From Thursday to Saturday evening, the kitchen of the hotel's restaurant, Bendito, offers a few dishes to share: Iberian bellota ham, artisan cheeses, croquettes, focaccia, veal kebab. The terrace also hosts private and corporate events.
