La Terraza de Larios: facing the Cathedral
Above the liveliest street in the centre
The Hotel Larios Málaga, a four-star hotel with 41 rooms, occupies a corner building at the start of calle Marqués de Larios, the pedestrianised shopping artery of the centre, a stone's throw from plaza de la Constitución. Its roof is home to La Terraza de Larios, open to Malagueños and passing visitors as much as to hotel guests.
Under the pergola, high tables line the parapet. The tower and façade of the Cathedral rise directly opposite, above the tiled roofs, while Gibralfaro hill and the ramparts of the Alcazaba close off the horizon. The spot lends itself as much to a late-afternoon drink as to an evening out with friends.
Cocktails and tapas
The menu combines a selection of cocktails, signature drinks and tapas to share. As the venue is very busy at peak times, you sometimes have to wait for a table, especially at sunset.
Practical information
The terrace is open Sunday to Thursday from 2pm to 1am, and on Friday and Saturday from 2pm to 2am, with no announced seasonal closure. Dates and opening hours may change because of private events, maintenance or bad weather. Access is free through the hotel, subject to available space. Metro lines 1 and 2: Atarazanas station, about 400 metres away via calle Larios.
