The Vincci Bonjardim, a four-star hotel on Rua do Bonjardim, has set up its rooftop lounge on the 5th floor. The space is divided between a bright room tiled in black and white, with aqua-green walls and hanging bunches of dried herbs, and an open-air terrace surrounded by plants. The venue is open to all; the neighbouring pool and sun loungers, however, are reserved for hotel guests.
The view sweeps across the rooftops of the Baixa, with the City Hall tower and its green dome as a focal point. The sunset is particularly popular here.
Signature cocktails and food to share
The signature cocktail list, at €12, plays with Portuguese ingredients: aguardente and caramelised banana, white port and melon, house red-berry liqueur. The classics are the same price, the Porto Tónico and the Aperol Spritz €10, and sangria is available by the glass or the jug. In the kitchen, from noon to 10.30pm, starters to share (bolinha de francesinha, suckling pig rissóis, sea bream ceviche, cheese and charcuterie board) come before mains from €17 to €27. An executive menu completes the offer.
On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, from noon to 4pm, a brunch for two is served at €35. In summer, the programme expands: live music, barbecues or a small market on the terrace. The venue also hosts private events.
