Set at the top of W Amsterdam, on the Spuistraat, MR PORTER belongs to a small family of restaurants also found in Barcelona and London. It describes itself as a restaurant, bar and lounge that combines the precision of a contemporary steakhouse with the atmosphere of a late-night bar. A bright, wood-clad dining room opened up by large windows extends onto a terrace overlooking the rooftops and church towers of the centre.
Beef takes centre stage
The menu plays on contrasts: fine grilled cuts of meat, seafood, carefully prepared vegetables and sharing dishes, paired with creative cocktails and a wide selection of wines. On Sundays, an English-style roast joins the menu. The restaurant also serves breakfast in the morning.
From dinner to lounge
As the evening goes on, the music rises: curated playlists and DJs create an atmosphere where guests linger at the bar after their meal. On fine days, the rooftop terrace is the best place for a pre-dinner drink facing the city. A “smart casual” dress code is requested.
