Madam: skybar and panoramic restaurant at the top of the A'DAM Tower
A tower facing Central Station
On the north bank of the IJ, directly opposite Central Station, the A'DAM Tower has become one of the landmarks of Amsterdam's skyline. It houses the A'DAM Lookout observation deck, with its rooftop terrace and its swing suspended over the void, “Over the Edge”. Just below, on the 20th floor, Madam occupies an entire glass-walled level.
From here, the view is one of the most spectacular in the city: the station platforms, the ferries crossing the IJ, the bell towers of the historic centre and, in the distance, neighbourhoods stretching to the horizon. The sight is particularly striking at nightfall, when the city lights up.
Three atmospheres on one floor
The skybar serves drinks and small plates in a relaxed atmosphere, with a resident DJ during the evening “Skyline Sessions”. The Panorama Restaurant offers lunch and dinner beneath a ceiling of flowers, facing the windows. On Fridays and Saturdays, “Madam by Night” turns the venue into a club until 3am, with a separate entrance.
Planning your visit
Access is controlled. Until 9pm, you go up to the skybar with an A'DAM Lookout ticket or a restaurant reservation. From 9pm, a ticket is required for the Skyline Sessions, as it is for Madam by Night. Payment is by card only.
Practical information
Skybar open daily; restaurant Sunday to Thursday noon–10pm, Friday and Saturday noon–11pm; Skyline Sessions 9pm–midnight Sunday to Thursday (last entry 11pm); Madam by Night Friday and Saturday 9pm–3am (last entry 1:30am), entrance at IJpromenade 4. From Central Station, the free F3 ferry crosses the IJ in two minutes, day and night. There is a car park beneath the tower.
