CIMA Rooftop Bar: a Mexican rooftop facing the dome of the Koepelkerk
A new spot near Central Station
Opened in autumn 2025, CIMA occupies the 7th floor of the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel, between the Singel and Central Station. Its name means “summit” in Spanish, and the venue claims a “Mexican pulse” above the Amsterdam skyline. It is reached via the Hekelveld.
The rooftop is split between a glass-walled room with colourful banquettes and a large wooden terrace furnished with lounge areas and parasols. The view is dominated by the copper dome of the Koepelkerk, the round former Lutheran church next door, and by the brick rooftops and church towers of the historic centre. Sunset is the most sought-after moment.
Agave cocktails and sharing food
The cocktail list puts tequila and mezcal in the spotlight: CIMA Margarita, Flying Paloma, Pandan Colada or Sunstar Martini, along with a few alcohol-free creations. In the kitchen, Mexican inspiration comes through in tacos, small plates and sharing dishes, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.
The mood builds in the evening
DJs liven up the evenings and the venue hosts events, such as a big orange party for King’s Night. CIMA can be privatised for groups of 25 people or more through the hotel.
