VIRTU: Budapest seen from 120 metres
At the top of the MOL Campus
On the Buda bank, in the 11th district, the MOL Campus tower houses a 150-cover fine-dining restaurant and a cocktail bar on its 28th floor. Access is by a panoramic lift from the visitor centre. Behind the windows, the eye sweeps across the Danube and its bridges, over the districts of Pest stretching to the horizon and, on the other side, the Buda Hills. Guests can also go up to the observation deck free of charge.
An acclaimed Hungarian table
In the kitchen, Lendvai Levente, named Young Chef of the Year by the Michelin Guide Hungary in 2024, modernises Hungarian recipes using local and regional produce. Keszthely sturgeon with orda cheese gnocchi, somlói galuska for dessert, chef's menus that change with the seasons: the cooking, recommended by the Michelin Guide, comes with a fine wine list. The “Dinner with a View” tables, closest to the windows, are the most sought after.
The bar, for a drink above the city
Around a monumental blue-green marble counter, the bar reworks the great classics with Hungarian ingredients: pálinka, Unicum, Tokaji wine or smoke with cigar notes. It is booked separately from the restaurant and stays open between services, making it an ideal stop to admire the sunset without dining. The bartenders also make bespoke cocktails.
