The Lift: the new rooftop on quai Perrache
Eight floors above the Rhône
At 60 quai Perrache, on the edge of Confluence, the lift of the Lumen building takes you up to the 8th floor, where The Lift opened its doors in summer 2026. The venue combines an open-air rooftop terrace, a sheltered patio and an indoor room, so it can be enjoyed in every season.
The view takes in the Rhône, its banks and the Confluence district, with the towers of Part-Dieu standing out in the distance. Sunset is one of the highlights of the evening.
A destination for every season
The Lift's concept is built around an ever-changing journey: four times a year, the décor and menu switch to a new city and era. After a first season inspired by Manhattan, autumn 2026 sets course for Barcelona. Signature cocktails are around €14, classics and alcohol-free drinks around €12, and local draught beer starts at €4.
To go with the drinks, there are homemade tapas to share, from €12 to €21: patatas bravas, gambas or tuna crudo, depending on the current menu. Live bands regularly liven up the evenings.
Practical information
The Lift is open Wednesday to Saturday, from 6.30pm to 1am. Booking online is strongly recommended, but you can also simply drop in for a drink. Perrache metro station (line A) is a two-minute walk away, and trams T1 and T2 also serve the area. The venue can be hired in whole or in part and has a room equipped for seminars.
With its panorama over the Rhône and a world that reinvents itself every season, The Lift has quickly earned its place among Lyon's rooftops.
