Solaya: the Riviera on the 25th floor, above Shoreditch
A high-rise address above Old Street
Opened at the top of art'otel London Hoxton, the tower that dominates the junction of Great Eastern Street and Rivington Street, Solaya occupies the 25th floor. The dining room, dressed with dark curtains and a large illuminated crescent moon, opens through wide windows onto the rooftops of Shoreditch, the skyscrapers of the City and, in the distance, West London. Open-air terraces extend the bar and dining room for sunset drinks.
Southern cooking and Mediterranean cocktails
The first London restaurant from Michelin-starred Newcastle chef Kenny Atkinson, Solaya offers a seasonal French-Mediterranean menu designed for sharing: fish, shellfish, vegetables from the South and large cuts of meat for carving. The bar also takes its cue from the Riviera, with aperitifs, sours and long drinks from £17 to £18, and a wine list focused on France and the Mediterranean. From Tuesday to Saturday, from 5pm to 7pm, the “golden hour” offers mini cocktails at £8, and DJs play on Friday and Saturday nights. The venue can be hired, from a single table to the entire terrace.
