SUSHISAMBA: Tokyo, Rio and Lima above the City
Two floors and terraces in the sky
Two glass panoramic lifts climb the outside of 110 Bishopsgate to the 39th floor, where SUSHISAMBA occupies the top of the tower together with the 38th. The main dining room, glazed from floor to ceiling, is crowned by a bamboo structure hung with hundreds of lights. Outside, the terraces offer a 360-degree view: the Gherkin and the towers of the City up close, the Shard to the south, and East London all the way to Canary Wharf.
On the west terrace, the Tree Terrace is arranged around a large orange tree, now the emblem of the venue: a circular bar, banquettes and music sessions at golden hour.
Fusion food and cocktails
The menu draws on three countries: Japanese sushi and tempura, Brazilian churrasco and moqueca, Peruvian anticuchos and ceviche, to share as small plates or from the robata grill. To drink, there are house cocktails from £16 to £19 and a wide choice of sakes and piscos. On the 39th floor, the Samba Room operates as a bar and lounge in its own right, with DJs towards the end of the week. The venue also hosts corporate events and private parties.
