Aqua Shard: London from the 31st floor
A restaurant and a bar in the Shard
Aqua Shard occupies level 31 of the Shard, the glass tower that rises above London Bridge station, south of the river. The space is split between a large double-height dining room, lined entirely with windows, and a bar arranged around a circular counter topped by a golden chandelier. There's no open-air terrace: everything happens behind the glass, so you can enjoy the view whatever the season.
Depending on your table, you look out over the towers of the City, the Thames or, further afield, Canary Wharf. The most sought-after moment is still the end of the day, when the sky blazes before the city lights take over.
British food and “British Icons” cocktails
The restaurant menu champions seasonal British produce, with an express lunch menu on weekdays, brunch at weekends and a Peter Pan-themed afternoon tea. At the bar, the “British Icons” cocktail collection pays tribute to figures from British culture, at around £18 to £21, with small plates to share. For a special occasion, a martini ritual served at the table with caviar is available for £75.
