Silo CPH: the harbour and the Øresund from the 17th floor
At the top of a former silo
In the north of the city, the former industrial port of Nordhavn is being transformed into a waterfront residential district. Its emblem is The Silo, a converted former grain silo that has won awards for its architecture, whose faceted façade towers over the basin. Right at the top, on the 17th floor, Silo CPH occupies a fully glazed floor: on one side the harbour, the ferries and the Øresund, on the other the rooftops and spires of Copenhagen.
Restaurant and bar
The restaurant serves contemporary Nordic cuisine at lunch and dinner, in a hushed dining room with velvet armchairs and long curtains, as well as in several private lounges for meetings and parties. The cocktail bar offers the great classics revisited with a modern touch, such as the Pornstar Martini, the Pisco Sour, the Negroni or the Espresso Martini, a few signature creations and a fine selection of spirits and wines. No need to book for a drink at the bar: just go up.
For sunset
It is at the end of the day that the place really comes into its own, when the sun sets over the city and the harbour lights come on. The view is one of the most spectacular in Copenhagen, with no open-air terrace but through vast picture windows, which makes it a year-round address.
