Level Six: a drink above Nørreport

A terrace in the heart of the city

Nørreport is one of Copenhagen's busiest hubs, a stone's throw from the gardens of Rosenborg Castle, the Botanical Garden and the shopping streets of the centre. Right above it, the Scandic Nørreport hotel has set up Level Six on its roof: a wooden terrace, planters and tables lined up along the railing, from where you look straight down onto Frederiksborggade and the bustle of the square, with the steeples and rooftops of the centre as a backdrop. An indoor room with long banquettes extends the terrace.

Cocktails, spritz and small plates

The bar is open to everyone, hotel guests and visitors alike. The bartenders mix classics such as the Mojito, the Negroni, the Espresso Martini or a carefully made gin and tonic, a tiki cocktail such as the Jungle Bird, and a whole range of spritzes. Wines, beers and bubbles complete the menu. On the food side, snacks and small bar dishes made with quality produce: the venue holds the Danish organic label (bronze level).

An atmosphere that changes with the seasons

On Fridays and Saturdays, from 4pm to midnight, a resident DJ livens up the terrace. In fine weather, you can enjoy the sun and the long summer evenings; in winter, the terrace is decked out with heaters, blankets and lights. The spot works just as well for an after-work drink with friends as for a small celebration.
