Sticks'n'Sushi Tivoli Hotel: sushi on the 12th floor
At the top of the Harbour Tower
Between Vesterbro and the Kalvebod Brygge waterfront, the Tivoli Hotel & Congress Center houses, on the 12th floor of its Harbour Tower, one of the restaurants of the Danish chain Sticks'n'Sushi. The decor keeps things understated, somewhere between Japanese precision and Nordic calm: wood, stone and steel, black leather, clean lines and, above all, floor-to-ceiling windows that open up a 360-degree view of Copenhagen.
A rooftop terrace
When the weather allows, the large terrace opens for lunch in the sun or dinner under the stars. The view stretches from the city's spires to the zoo's tower and, on a clear day, all the way to Malmö, on the other side of the Øresund. The restaurant seats about 115 indoors and 65 on the terrace.
Sushi, skewers and cocktails
The menu combines Japanese traditions with Danish simplicity: sushi made to order, grilled skewers, rice rolls, salads and desserts, with cocktails and sake served at the bar. And at the bar, leather swings hanging from the ceiling let you enjoy a coffee or a cocktail while swinging. For groups, the SUKAIBA private room, on the same floor, seats 33 to 45 guests.
Practical information
Open every day, from lunch to dinner, from 11am. Terrace open weather permitting. Online booking recommended, especially for a table at sunset. Access through the Tivoli Hotel, Arni Magnussons Gade 2; about fifteen minutes' walk from Central Station (København H), Dybbølsbro S-tog station nearby.
