Tope: a taste of Mexico on the 22nd floor
At the top of The Hoxton
The Hoxton, Brussels occupies a tower on Square Victoria Régina in Saint-Josse-ten-Noode, a short walk from the Botanical Garden. Right at the top, on the 22nd floor, Tope has set up shop: a Mexican-inspired bar and restaurant with a warm décor of ochre walls, banquettes and cacti. From the dining room as from the outdoor terrace, the view sweeps over the rooftops of the centre and the towers of the Northern Quarter. Tope has sister venues in Barcelona and Portland.
Tacos and margaritas
The menu is made for sharing: tacos, nachos, guacamole and churros to finish. For drinks, the house margarita with mezcal and jalapeño sits alongside cocktails made with tequila, pisco or mezcal, frozen margaritas, spritzes and one-litre jugs to share. Mexican and Belgian beers and a selection of alcohol-free drinks round off the offer.
A festive atmosphere
From Thursday to Saturday, Club Tope nights bring in DJs from 6pm. The venue also hosts one-off events, from themed parties to sports screenings. The terrace is at its liveliest in the warmer months, while the indoor room stays open all year round. Groups of 10 to 20 can book a dedicated package.
