Manhatta: dinner on the 60th floor, face to face with the skyline
A glass-walled dining room atop 28 Liberty
The office tower at 28 Liberty Street, just steps from Wall Street, is home on its 60th and top floor to Manhatta, a Union Square Hospitality Group restaurant. The restaurant and its bar look out in several directions: the East River and the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges on one side, the Woolworth Building and the skyscrapers of Midtown on the other. There's no outdoor terrace: it all happens behind the big windows, day and night.
A seasonal restaurant and a more laid-back bar
The dining room serves modern, seasonal American cuisine that draws on classic techniques and influences from around the world. Dinner is a multi-course prix fixe; at lunch, there's a shorter menu, along with an extensive wine list.
The bar, open daily from 11:30am with no reservations, lets you enjoy the view without committing to a full dinner. Its $22 cocktails are named after New York neighborhoods (Sunset Park, Midtown East, Brooklyn, SoHo…), alongside New York State beers and a bar menu: beef tartare, a croquette, duck wings, a lobster roll, a burger or a fried chicken sandwich.
Several private rooms host weddings, group dinners and corporate events.
