An oasis in Elmadağ
The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul occupies the Süzer Plaza, in the Elmadağ neighbourhood (Şişli district), a few minutes from Taksim Square and above the Dolmabahçe gardens. On the hotel's roof, at the foot of its tower, The Roof forms a hanging garden: plants, sun loungers, cabanas, wooden decks and a glass-walled infinity pool that seems to spill into the Bosphorus. Below lie Dolmabahçe Mosque and its clock tower; opposite, the hills of Üsküdar on the Asian shore.
Summer flavours and cocktails
The menu focuses on Mediterranean cuisine and summer flavours, with a modern bar mixing signature cocktails. At dusk, the lights of the Bosphorus come on and the pool reflects the colours of the sky; that is when the atmosphere warms up with regular DJs, and the venue also hosts open-air film screenings and other events during the season.
